Alissa Harris, MSW, LMSW

Clinical Social Worker

(she/her/hers)

Welcome. Deciding to start therapy can feel overwhelming, and it’s okay to take things one step at a time. My goal is to provide a safe, compassionate space where you can explore your thoughts, feelings, and experiences without judgment. I’m here to support you on your journey to self-discovery and empowerment. Whether you’re looking to overcome trauma, cope with life's stressors, build stronger relationships, or simply find your footing, I’ll meet you where you are and help you move forward at your own pace.

I draw on evidence-based practices and a compassionate, client-centered approach in providing the following types of therapy: EMDR, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Mindfulness, Emotion Regulation and Distress Tolerance Skills, Motivational Interviewing, Behavioral Family Therapy, Social Skills Training, Mental Health Education, Problem Solving, and more.

Clients have described me as a great listener, safe, warm, kind, smart, funny, and they consistently share how life changing therapy has been for them.

It has been the honor of my life to have spent 10 years of my career working with Veterans through both the Ann Arbor VA Healthcare System and the VA Central Office: Office of Suicide Prevention. My hope is to continue to serve those who serve.
