Clinical Psychologist

(he/him/his)

I aim to cultivate a welcoming and open-minded environment where clients feel safe and are able to be vulnerable. My educational background underpins my psychodynamic perspective, which suggests that unconscious, unresolved conflicts from past traumatic events or childhood experiences can influence present-day fears and behaviors. My goal is to utilize my experience and EMDR training to help you process trauma in a healthier manner, leading to greater success within yourself and your relationships.

I earned my Master of Arts in Counseling Psychology from Western Michigan University. My academic training included specialized instruction in play therapy, a modality I now use to assist children in processing trauma and effectively managing their emotions.

My experience with adult clients covers a range of relationship issues, including family dynamics, marital challenges, and childhood trauma. Additionally, I have experience working with clients dealing with OCD, sexual trauma, and various addictions.

Recognizing the profound influence of past experiences on present thoughts, actions, and emotions, I am committed to collaborating with clients as they embark on their journey toward enhanced self-awareness. As Muhammad Ali profoundly stated, "What you're thinking is what you're becoming."
