Clinical Social Worker

(she/her/hers)

My mission is to interrupt intergenerational cycles of trauma. Attachment work has compounded my appreciation for the ways in which intergenerational and systematic trauma increase psychological, physical, emotional, and relational vulnerabilities.

My career began with providing therapy services to adolescent youth in the foster care and juvenile justice systems. The stories of these youth changed me forever; and inspired me to pursue certification in Infant Mental Health, which is focused on building secure attachment relationships between infants and caregivers throughout the first six years of life. Being involved in the homes and communities of families allowed me to witness and appreciate the ways in which traumatic attachment relationships impact the ability to be present, tolerate distress, and regulate emotions in relationships. My next career path included being trained in, and practicing Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), which targets skills of mindfulness, distress tolerance, emotion regulation, and interpersonal effectiveness. I also have experience providing marital and couples counseling, focused on attachment relationships between intimate partners. I am honored to continue being a part of the healing process through EMDR.

I hold a Bachelor’s of Science Degree in Psychology, with minors in Women and Gender Studies and Criminal Justice. I also hold a Master’s Degree in Social Work (MSW), with a specialized focus in Alcohol and Drug Abuse (SPADA).
